Find Plant Names In the North American Regional Registry*

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) serves as the International Cultivar Registration Authority for genus Rhododendron. The North American Regional Registrar, appointed via consultation between the American Rhododendron Society and the RHS, receives and processes registration applications for rhododendrons and azaleas named by North American registrants, before submitting them to the International Registry.

* The North American Regional Registry is a subset of cultivar names found in the International Registry. It doesn't include any non-North American registered cultivar names, nor does it include the North American cultivar names registered prior to 1957 when the ARS began to process registration applications. When checking if a name is available for registration the full list of names in the International Registry should be consulted. For assistance email the North American Registrar, Michael Martin Mills, at arsregistrar@gmail.com.
